Overview

OUR

OUR UNIQUE IDEA

Pixel Perfect is a creative art experience for people to interact with while they are waiting in large group settings. The game starts by dividing the players into a number of groups. Each group is given a set of pixels in which they can draw by changing the color of each individual pixel. At the end of the game, all of the different pictures that the players make will be displayed on the screen so users can see what they all created!

After iterating over various prototypes, we have landed on a MadLibs - inspired game play. This involves each group being given a category of an object to draw, and the group can write in what object they want to create (For example, if the category is "animal" they can draw a "dog"). Once all groups are done creating, they will

see the story unravel on the screen, with each object displayed in its respective place in the story.

This novel idea creates a unique collaborative experience in which everyone must be involved to make the final pictures.

Social Setting

Where would you play?

There are a few social settings our group came up with that can utilize this idea. For instance, people can collaborate within a movie theater, on airplanes or while waiting in long lines. We decided to focus our prototyping efforts on the movie theater. The movie theater provides a large screen, where all players can see the resulting story unfold. This gives it more excitement once the results are revealed. The movie theater is also easy to split into multiple groups, as each person can enter their seat number and automatically be assigned to a group with the people closest to them to allow for easier communication as they aim to complete the puzzle. Finally, the movie theater is an environment in which people are waiting around before the movie starts, so Pixel Perfect offers interactive game play to make this wait time more fun as opposed to watching repetitive commercials.
